Personal injury · Statewide Louisiana
When a crash upends your life, the insurance company gets to work protecting itself. Aven Law Group gets to work protecting you — your medical care, your lost wages, and your recovery. You pay nothing unless we win.
Practice areas
Aven Law Group concentrates exclusively on personal injury. Whatever put you here — a distracted driver, a negligent trucking company, an unsafe property — we know the playbook the other side uses, and we know how to beat it.
Rear-end collisions, intersection crashes, hit-and-runs, and uninsured motorist claims across Louisiana.
Discuss your crash →Commercial truck crashes involve federal safety rules, black-box data, and corporate insurers. We move fast to preserve the evidence.
Discuss your case →Uber and Lyft crashes raise layered insurance questions — which policy applies depends on the driver's status in the app. We sort it out.
Discuss your case →Merchants and property owners have a duty to keep premises safe. Louisiana law gives you rights when they don't.
Discuss your fall →When a vehicle strikes a person, the injuries are rarely minor. We pursue every available policy, including your own UM coverage.
Discuss your case →Motorcycle and bicycle crashes, dog bites, wrongful death, and more. If someone else's negligence hurt you, call us.
Tell us what happened →After an accident
The insurance company starts building its file immediately. Here's how to protect yours.
See a doctor even if you feel "okay." Adrenaline masks injuries, and gaps in treatment are the first thing adjusters use against you.
Photos of vehicles, the scene, and your injuries. Names of witnesses. The police report number. Save it all.
You are not required to give a recorded statement to the other driver's insurer. Politely decline until you've spoken with a lawyer.
Evidence disappears and deadlines run. The consultation is free, and the earlier we start, the stronger your case.
Why Aven Law Group
Comparative fault, uninsured motorist coverage, bad-faith penalties — Louisiana injury law has its own rules, and we use every one of them for our clients.
You'll never wonder what's happening with your case. We return calls, explain your options in plain English, and tell you the truth about your claim.
We work on contingency. No hourly bills, no retainers, no risk to you. If there's no recovery, you owe us nothing.
Evidence preservation letters, medical documentation, and demands go out early. Momentum is leverage, and we build it from day one.
Questions we hear every day
For most accidents occurring on or after July 1, 2024, Louisiana law generally allows two years from the date of injury to file suit. Accidents before that date are generally subject to the older one-year period. Certain claims have different deadlines, and waiting costs you leverage either way — call us as soon as possible so nothing runs out.
It depends on your medical treatment, lost wages, pain and suffering, the available insurance coverage, and fault. Anyone who quotes you a number before reviewing your records is guessing. We evaluate your claim for free and tell you honestly what we see.
Early offers are almost always made before the full extent of your injuries is known, and accepting one usually ends your claim forever. Before you sign anything, let us review the offer — the consultation costs you nothing.
You may still have a claim through your own uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage. Louisiana law favors UM coverage, and many people have it without realizing. We'll review every policy that might apply to your crash.
Nothing up front. We handle injury cases on a contingency fee, which means our fee comes out of the recovery we win for you. If we don't recover money for you, you don't owe us a fee.
Yes. Aven Law Group handles personal injury matters across the entire State of Louisiana, from Shreveport to Houma and everywhere in between.
